so tonnes of people are leaving infinity ward, while the two heads are forming a new studio. we have no real word yet but i wouldnt be surprised if the new studio respawn hired those ex infinity ward devs. this remind anyone of a certain situation involving a mr jeff gehrstman and a bomb that is giant?

Yes. Said situation is in fact similar.

You forgot to mention how both cases include personnels who left on "undisclosed" reasons..

The original developer is going to be totally bereft of humour, and full of extremely lame scripted videos (did anyone see the Gamespot April Fool's thing? 3D Man? I wanted to puke); and the new company is going to be totally awesome you say? I'd get behind that (again).

The same thing happened when Itagaki left Tecmo/Koei.  A lot of talented people left the company, too. 
 
And, maybe my memory is fooling me, but I think something similar happened when these guys (Zampella & West) left EA/Medal of Honor in 2002.  That's what makes the recent turn of events so funny.  They left EA and took folks to form Infinity Ward.  Now, they left Infinity Ward and took folks to form Respawn Entertainment and are back at EA.
