Jeff Gerstmann is co-founder of Giant Bomb and was Editor in Chief of GameSpot until his highly-publicized termination in 2007. He was at one time the highest-ranked NFL Blitz '99 player in the world, and has been a member of the bands "Midnight Brown," "Suburban All-Stars," and "Headboard."

Last night, I dreamed that Jeff Gerstmann died whilst playing touch football. I have never felt sadder or more heartbroken during a dream.

the only whiskey media related dream I've ever had was that I met them but they were speaking dutch and I can't speak dutch so SADFACE

@JJWeatherman: He had a heart attack while playing touch football. It happened during Christmastime too. Psh, thanks for ruining Christmas, Dream Jeff.

And, uh, Giant Bomb community? You are disappointing me. Yes, Jeff died in a dream I had last night. Yes, I was sad in the dream, and relieved when I woke up and realized it was a dream. Why am I posting this? BECAUSE I FIND IT AMUSING. I am only ever serious approximately 10% of the time. But that's okay. Our relationship is still young, Giant Bomb community. We will get to know each other better over time, and we will teach each other how to love again. Okay? Cool? We cool? Cool.

Also, this isn't gay. It's just a little naked bro-love. Relax.

He's a man who felt, and I quote, "heartbroken" over the death of a fat man who he's never met. It's worse than coming out of a bush with no shirt on. Someone very close to him has to give him a rare steak and a bottle of whiskey. And he can't leave the table till both are finished.
