    Jeff Wayne is an American musician best known for his 1978 progressive rock musical "Jeff Wayne's musical version of the War of the Worlds", that spawned two video games on it's 20th anniversary in 1998.

    Apart from the War of the Worlds he also composed an musical based on Spartacus, and has composed several TV themes and advertising jingles. Music from his adaption of the War of the Worlds has been remixed numerous times, such as by the German techno/eurodance band U96 who had a 1991 hit based on the musical's theme song "Eve of the War". Several other remixes were featured in the 1998 games, as well as the remix album ULLAdubULLA.
