    Special Agent Jim Ingraham works in the FBI's Department of Vegetable Crimes (he complains that the Roots and Tubers Division gets far less real cases than the Leafy Greens Division), where he befriends Special Agent Nelson Tethers through their shared love of solving puzzles.

    During the course of the events in Puzzle Agent 2, Ingraham helps Tethers out with his paperwork while Tethers uses his vacation time to give a closer look to the mysteries of Scoggins, Minnesota.
