    James "Jim" Peyton lived on Earth with his wife Grace Peyton and son. He came to E.D.N. III to work for NEVEC on a drilling, mining, and colonisation operation to earn some credits to support his family. During his time here he learns about a dark secret that NEVEC are trying to hide.

    During the Captivate trailer, he is communicating with a young Gale Holden, father of the protagonist, Wayne Holden from the first game.
