Joxer is a major supporting character in the Xena: Warrior Princess franchise, first appearing in the episode "Callisto". He has also appeared in one episode of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He is portrayed by actor Ted Raimi.
Although he believed himself to be a fearsome warrior, in reality Joxer lacked any real fighting skill. He attempted to join Callisto and her band of mercenaries, but was rejected by the group. Somehow, he kept encountering Xena and Gabrielle, and over the years, became good friends with the pair. Despite initially being annoyed by Gabrielle (and vice versa), he eventually fell in love with her, leading to Gabrielle having to reject his advances. He later met Meg, a bar wench who looked identical to Xena, and fell in love with her. After his adventures with Xena and Gabrielle ended, he married Meg and started a family.
After a time jump, Xena's daughter Eve (known as Livia) killed Joxer in front of Xena and Gabrielle.
Joxer is one of ten playable characters in this fighting game by Titus Interactive. His theme song "Joxer the Mighty" from various episodes of the TV series is remixed on his stage.
