The first commercially available balance board controller for a video game console

    Short summary describing this accessory.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

The Joyboard is a balance board controller developed by Amiga Corporation for the Atari 2600. A player stands on the board and leans in any direction, mimicking the action of a joystick. A port on the Joyboard allows a regular joystick to plug through, so the Joyboard doesn't need to be removed from the console when not in use.

Amiga released a single title, Mogul Maniac, for use with the Joyboard, but Off Your Rocker was developed for the controller, and sold through a third party. A third title, Surf's Up, was developed but never released.

The legacy of Joyboard includes other balance board controllers, such as the Roll n Rocker and the Wii Balance Board.
