Be careful when installing this! My origins decided to have a tantrum when redeemed the code amazon provided me and crashed. When I relaunched it the product did not appear in my games but origins says my code has been redeemed. Now I am in customer service hell. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!

I doubt that has to do with amazons stock, and more to do with Origin.

Oh I know it is completely on EA, just saying if you get a code from any retailer and then input it into origins be careful.

EA just sent out a tweet about Origin experiencing some issues at the moment.

Are you sure it redeems on Origin, I was under the impression that the game is self published on PC and redeems through Steam.

@Kidavenger They have stated the pre-load is now available both on amazon and on origins, and I know that some people have successfully done so. Also, the amazon digital download service redirects you to origins when you attempt to use the product code. I have a feeling they will make you run origins even when you purchase it on steam, but I could be wrong.

Guessing that Kidavenger could be right, if the game isn't out yet, you might be able to install it but not run it.

@fox01313 I cannot even install it. You must first redeem the code TO install it and that is where origins broke. Its basically the same as if you bought a game on steam and it never appeared in your steams list so you could start an install.

They also gave me a discount code to use on the store. however, it does not work with Pre-orders, anything on sale, or New Releases. That limits it to about 5 games, none of which I have any interest in. Thanks for nothing EA. I usually try not to hate but this is ridiculous.

I bought through origin and still can't preload it just keeps popping up an error every time.

And this is why you buy it on steam instead. I have bought steamworks games from amazon and they've worked fine.

I had an amazon gift card so I went through amazon. I didn't get to pick whether I went through origins. Trust me, I would rather have picked steam...I put full faith in steam. And if something on steam breaks, they fix it.

It also wasn't on steam when I got it on amazon and I didn't think it would be after the Battlefield 3 stuff.

Final update: They fixed it, though they scared the shit out of me by wiping my games list for over an hour so all my purchases were gone. @Geo7877 I apologize, sorry if that is a pet peeve and I irritated you!

hmmm i have it pre-ordered from amazon. Thanks for the heads up. Bought it from amazon cuz 40$ was a better price than $60 on steam.
