  • So when will there be a video showing off someone trying this controller with another game to see how well it goes?

  • Love all the effects & style at the intro for Jeff & end compositing of the QL. Having said that I'm excessively disappointed at not seeing any videos yet of someone trying some other game using the TH Ride controller fresh without trying it beforehand to see how it goes. Really wondering how that controller would work in an FPS like L4D2/MW2 or Burnout Paradise.

  • Was half expecting this on the Wii for the first stage on the ship to take place on a sailboat that'd take 6 minutes to run through. Loved the part about missing the first jump. Thinking they might have gone with what Dead Space on the Wii instead for this title, would have been a bit more fun for the single player part.

  • Level select is interesting on how they presented it but overall this game can just be put in an empty room as the setting is somewhat not an issue. But if they're doing this much to recreate the show it might be easier to just watch a dvd of DBZ than play this.

GI Joe (mostly controls) & Gyromancer (controls & more on-screen penalties than NHL Stanley Cup finals), as a future game designer/artist I plan on finding out who is responsible for the vehicle controls for GI Joe & verbally assault them as the controls on it just makes my head hurt trying to figure out how it works. Gyromancer is the combination of Square Enix & Pop Cap which in all thinking would be like combining chocolate & peanut butter, except for the fact of the peanut butter being shoved up your nose & the chocolate being launched at your head from 300 yards away. If it copied the first Puzzle Quest game & at least let you rotate the gem anti-clockwise it might have been saved from getting deleted on my 360. Sure you can rotate the 4 gem wheel anti-clockwise with the use of an item which you only get a few of so big penalty on gameplay there, especially when you're fighting some creature that puts 4+ skulls out on the field & sometimes locks those skull markers, get penalized more when you are rotating something & not getting a match, then get penalized even even more when you can't get to matching the skull gems (to cancel the damage from them) in 7 rotations in time & also penalizing you more by not really giving any way to heal your creatures after the fight apart from finding 1-2 shrines on the map which heals some of the lost HP.

Gyromancer could be fixed if it used half of the controls to allow you to rotate another direction like every other version of Bejeweled, have turns with the enemy instead of just giving you time to turn gems for making a match or getting penalized. Yes basically make it like Puzzle Quest at least in the gameplay. Also I'm horrified that between Square Enix & Pop Cap, two companies that have made tons of games, neither one thought to make use of the freaking start button for the primary game menu, they spent too much time giving a puzzle game such USELESS features as a replay feature, pressing X to also replay the last move & multiple help buttons. How many times does someone playing Bejeweled grab someone nearby & start telling them of how completely awesome it was to match 3 gems??  Thought that Galatrix is a better game (that Gyromancer) which isn't saying much as that game quickly got rather boring compared to the first Puzzle Quest game which at least was more entertaining in story & simple, addictive gameplay.

BTW loving dragon age origins & after playing the 6 origin stories I'm stuck trying to figure out who to play through first as all of the origin stories are done really well. So far dwarf noble, mage & human noble are favorites on how they are done. Also loving that I'm done with trying to save & figure out where the jump occurs to away from the origin story so I can take all the gear off the other party members to keep/sell at the last moment before the jump which involves lots of near nudity on that final cutscene before leaving the origin story. Also the dog rocks for the human noble, the pov camera looking down when the dog can't find something makes it hard to feel bad towards the dog.

Well looks like the new Radeon HD 4650, which I bought mostly as I know that when I get Dragon Age Origins between now & Julian calendar end of year (31 Dec. not 31st Oct.)  & the 8600 XFX Nvidia card would be rough on running it, can handle Crysis on the medium setting which proves that when I bought this HP computer & video card that I would have paid about $300 for Crysis to run (as I bought the 8600 card for $150). It also proves that for the first time in a while Crysis is doing the whole vertigo sensation so feeling kinda ill after playing a few dozen minutes of it. Off to download again the patch for Crysis & the SDK, where learning the SDK was the main reason to get Crysis & hopefully it's better than Source in how the tools are designed as I know graphically it can outshoot Source SDK by a few planetary orbits from the sun.

BTW so glad for Fileplanet as the download from the main Crysis site rather bites compared to the quicker speeds of fileplanet. Crysis does look good but more looking forward to DAO after Drew from GiantBomb & coworker have raved about it & curious to see what mods/user levels come out of DAO's user community & hoping the DAO level editor/toolset is easy to figure out.

Thought that the ghost & pumpkin boms added a lot to the KOTH harvest map & it will be sad to see these leave as it made the maps rather unique on extra obstacles to try to avoid, or if playing the demoman using the pumpkin bombs mixed with grenades to blow up people a bit more. The best though had to be one player (not sure who he/she/it was as never caught the name by itself as it was usually part of the conversations) but the player sounded electronic & was perfectly identical to the transformer Soundwave. The mental images from those matches with that one player & 20+ others made it rather enjoyable until some jerk started camping the one spawning point/building on the KOTH map that I was swearing for a few minutes before switching over to playing more of Torchlight. Been trying to burn through Torchlight with the warrior so I can see what retiring will do for one of the other characters & been stockpiling good loot for them to use once ready to see how the other classes are in the game.

Maybe one day I'll be able to see Crysis run on this (or newer) PC of mine. My 8600 Nvidia card is right above the lowest video cards listed on the back & it still was rather hard to play with really low fps with the game set to the lowest settings. Shame as I thought that it was interesting looking & was wanting to really sink some time in playing with the SDK but if I have problems taking on a few guys with guns while prone in the woods, experience has shown me that the editor would start to really die at that point.

Time to uninstall the maximum Crysis & all the patches/SDK for now as barely dented the game but the highlight was definitely trying to shut off the optional mission's jamming station (on the beach) by throwing chickens at it. Weapon mods in the game too are rather nice as I'd rather see laser sight over iron sight. Too bad it didn't save the screenshots at all or at least where I could find them in the program files, was probably in documents but apart from screenshots of flying chickens or flying crabs it's nothing I can't replicate again on a future computer with better power to run it.

Rather dull (X360)
After playing the rest of the series on the PS2 I was kind of curious to see how this game was on the next gen systems. Since other reviews have put a great lengths their views summarizing the gameplay I'll not go into great detail. It seems like for me that ...
