Magnetic Scrolls was founded in in the 1980s in Great Britain by Anita Sinclair, Ken Gordon and Hugh Steers. Their text adventure games (and later graphical adventure games) were considered the European answer to the US-adventure gaming giant Infocom, featuring a story-based experiences and quite challenging puzzles (sometimes caused by quiet the unforgiving parser console). Magnetic Scrolls disappeared from the gaming scene when the adventure game world became dominated by the likes of Sierra and Lucasarts and they released their last game, The Legacy, in 1993.
