Maid

Maids are female servants, who generally have, in addition to housekeeping abilities, a highly-developed sense of propriety. Maids in Japanese works are almost always shown wearing some variation of the traditional French maid outfit, the meido fuku, which usually includes an apron with frills, and a frilly headband.

The male equivalent is the butler.
