Troubled times are ahead. There's a lot of uncertainty and anxiety out there. 2016 has been a long and hard year for a lot of us, and we still have a little less than 2 months to go.

You know, I was looking forward to Mario Party Party 6. But it was nearly 5 hours of despair and slog. Despite this, I was looking forward to Mario Party Party 7. But even with a normal board and a straightforward game, layers upon layers of bullshit piled on top of the universe. And despite this, despite even this, I was looking forward to Mario Party Party 8. But then the winner was randomly decided at the last minute, in the guise of "performance".

I sure hope Mario Party Party 9 brings justice to the world. Will it? Who knows. After all, nobody wins. Nobody ever wins.

I couldn't think of a song that perfectly captures my thoughts and mood for the end of the Mario Party Party series, so I came up with this. But since somebody is going to link to it anyways, here ya go:

Any little hope left after MPP7 died at the end of MPP8. I don't think ill even watch and just read the results like wrestling.

Sadly the best Mario Party's are now behind us. Will be interesting to see how different these last two are.

Also, there is no competition anymore. Dan the Man is too strong for the others to keep up with.
I'm looking forward to see what Wii U can bring to the match.

So they already have experience with 9, maybe they can finally defeat Dan because the game is all about skill.

@mrcraggle: The problem with that is that Dan has already been educated on Mario Party 9 by the world's leading expert on partying: Andrew WK!

@galacticpunt: In typical Mario Party style though, Dan is losing for the majority then some how comes back to win. I honestly don't get how he does it. Even in this last one he was at 5 stars while the others were on 7 and 8 with only a few turns to go and he was able to level with them then go on to win every bonus star.

I would just like to say, I've watched every Mario Party Party and looking back Mario Party 6 is just an absolute fever dream, I've no recollection of anything that happened in that one.

That's how Mario Party works -- I feel like it purposefully gives the end-game to whoever is farthest behind most of time. Regardless, the game is controlling who wins I feel like and it's trying to do so in dramatic fashion.

Is Mario Party 10 part of Mario Party Party 9 or is it a separate party?

9 and 10 don't have 50 turn options, right? If so, since they'll be a lot shorter, maybe they'll knock out both tomorrow; back-to-back. In fact, could they set up star and coin handicaps in 10 so that the game is essentially picking up right where 9 left off?

@themasterds: My guess is that they do MPP 10 early next week as Dan's going away party.

I'm guessing they will leave MP10 for the next time all of them get together. Likely E3. I seriously doubt they will do it before Dan goes.

@temg99: Mario Party 9 only takes, maybe an hour to play through a game, so I have to imagine they're also playing 10 today. Either that or they forgot 9 doesn't have a 50 turns mode and are doing an hour long stream in the middle of the afternoon.

Jeff's gonna win this one. I just feel it.... or its just my feeling that Jeff is going to literally beat Dan up, i confuse those two.

@mooseymcman: I'm betting they find a way to stretch it to two hours. Honestly if they were going to do both I feel like they would have said so in the upcoming box. Assuming most of next week is the guys doing tons of GOTY editing (audio, video and written), the only way I can realistically see them playing Mario Party 10 is they have already done so as part of the GOTY video stuff (a posibility) or they do another video tomorrow.

No 50 turns? They need to play it best of three or something then, anything else would be a scandal.
This can't be the best one by the way, to me it looks like the series getting worse with each title. But I guess that's the point.

Well i'll admit I was completely wrong on the length. This one was less than an hour. I was also wrong on my first guess of E3. They are doing MP10 it tomorrow.

I really hope Dan rode the bus dressed like that.
