I don't understand this.  Some of the actors in the game use some odd face instead
of their own.  The only one seemed to have any balls about it was Miranda.  Don't
know about Jacob or any others.

Bbecause they don't always want to tie characters to voice actors. Voice Actors might change is the biggest reason that I could think of but mainly they want to distincush the look of Hackett or Jacob to Mass Effect.

Why not just got the extra step and put Bishop in ME2? That game is full of amazing characters, but Bishop would blow all of them out of the water.

When Henricksen gets put in a movie, he doesn't have somebody
else sub in for them.  They could have made more of a likeness
    to him at least.

I bet they didn't do it because it would cost extra, basically like
the cost of a full blown movie salary.

I don't think the actors themselves have much input on this anyway, this what they pay their agents for. Obviously someone like Henricksen has hardcore agents who ask for ridiculous amounts of money for using his likeness, while tenderfeets like Yvonne Strahovski are glad for the opportunity.

They should have, I didn't think the face they went with fit his voice at all.

Yeah but art-wise, it would have made the game a ton more better, to show
a likeness of Henricksen...now the game can't be as good as it could have been.
They should be thinking about producing a game like an artist produces the
Mona Lisa or a movie maker developing 2001...something wonderful that stands
the test of time, not trying to save a fuckin' dollar & produce mediocre material.
They were so close!  So close.  And yet I feel ME3 is gonna shit the bed
as they cut every corner, produce it too soon, & cheapen up what could have
been a masterpiece...which it is up til now, except this Henricksen debacle,
recasting, & getting rid of some of the folks that were in the first two films.
    Somebody's getting greedy & it's gonna shit-up the sequel.

I hate that I agree with this so much.

Certain people benefit getting the old face scan. They choose to do it with Sarah Walker instead of Bishop. Poor choice.

This thread is stupid. Hackett was just an NPC in a DLC mission. They don't need to go out of their way recreating his face for a few minutes of 'screen' time.

He was a main voice in ME1 for a bulk of side content.  For all we know, he could end up being a squad mate
in ME3 or playing some other major story role.
