    I like Female Sheppard more. Loved Jennifer Hale since she did Bastila Shan in KotOR. Male Sheppard sounds so disinterested IMO, no passion at all in the voice. In scenes where he is supposed to show emotions it just sounds like he is reading the text louder rather than actually conveying an emotion. Might just be that my first Sheppard was female though so it has become the correct voice in my head. 
     
    I would suggest playing a new class as well while you're at it. It really changed the gameplay to play as Vanguard or an Adept compared to a Soldier.
