If you click the link on the site, you're taken to an official government petition site. This is a very weird approach, and rumors are that it's illegal. Thoughts?

I think EA has more lawyers than the British government does, so it's probably not illegal. 

@MB: From what I've read, the debate is in the way the site is used. The question is: is the petition being used to help BioWare market, or are they using they're prowess to get the petition signed? It gets shady.

That's kind of the different when Valve and EA are doing stuff - Good weird and bad weird. If Valve did this people would've been crazy about how cool this was.
