We join the legions of gamers and graphic-story fans who've been anticipating the October release of the new Mass Effect game.

We proudly announce the release of a custom-crafted miniature version of the SSV Normandy. This is the first replica of the Normandy, and we couldn't be more excited in bringing it forward.

No chance in hell this comes out on October. I really hope it does, but there's just no way.

Well Gameinformer did say that the Alliance confiscated the Normandy to see what Cerberus did with it

Yeah, I'm guessing Shepard is working a lot more closely with the Alliance again in Mass Effect 3. The artwork of Garrus also hints at that seeing as he has what looks like an Alliance uniform underneath his armor.

October? That's when my birthday is!

The Normandy looks awesome. I could see it being in October. It gets out ahead of COD, Skyrim and Uncharted that way.

Whenever it comes out, it better be a couple months away from Skyrim. Don't make me choose between the two!

October..? My birthday is in October... so if the release date holds some weight then that's awesome, but I highly doubt it will actually come out in October.

If they're truly confident with this release and it's now to more of EA pressuring a quicker release, then I would love an October debut. It's fairly plausible as well, with all the talk of how they've planned this series as a trilogy to begin with; game's easier to develop because it ends said trilogy, no future arching variables to stress over yadda yadda.
I don't think I'd ever have my worry completely sated with such an early release, though, so I wouldn't be fussed to find if it does move up to an early-mid 2012 release.

I wouldn't mind actually if it got pushed to early 2012, if Mass Effect 2 had come out during that flurry of releases in late 2009 I would have never gotten around to it. This year is an even crazier last quarter so I don't particuarly want another multiple hour game stacked on there.

This is an odd fascination of mine, but I sort of want the game to come out and be mind-blowingly terrible.  Awful storyline, derailed characters, horrendous gameplay... not because I don't like the series.  I love it to death!  I just want to see the reactions that people would have if they totally phoned it in for the last game in the trilogy.  They would totally lose it, and it would be amazing to see.

Understand, however, I want that way less than I want for it to actually be a good game.  It's just sort of a running idea in my head that won't go away.

well Dark Horses was in charge of doing the ME-related comics, and those were sanctioned by Bioware, so anything in the comics are consider canon (Jack Harper is TIM).

Goes well with my armour. Blue, black, silver. Awesome.

Also I have Zakera Ward souvenirs reserving one of these ship models for me. Maybe not within Shepard's price range and maybe not a must-have but it's just right for a vigilante's salary.

Looks good. This game better not suck.
