    Unlocking different factions

    @ChrisOVC:
    You unlock different factions when you beat them in the campaign.

    The Mongols, The Timurids and The Papal States are not unlockable.

    Additionaly you can alter the descr_strat file located in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign, 
    just move the 'unlockable' factions names into the 'playable' list.
     
    Edit: Do not try to add The Papal States or any other of the unplayable factions into the playable list, it might break the game.

    Note that YOU have to beat this faction in game by capturing their last city.  Merely being present in a game in which they are destroyed doesn't unlock them!

    This edit will also create new pages on Giant Bomb for:
