The sequel to the critically acclaimed Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. Now set in war-torn Venezuela, the player again takes on contracts for various warring factions on a quest for payback.
"Sure, Mercenaries 2 is already out, but you might be the hesitant type. Not the type to trust reviews written by others, more the type to trust impressions of your own. If that's you, and you've got an Xbox 360, get downloading, because a Mercenaries 2 demo should be up on Xbox Live as you read this. If you're a PS3 owner, you're stuck with the console's weekly cycles, and have to wait for next Thursday's bulk update"
You mean how shitty Kotaku is right? ...and the PSN demo won't come out until the next weekly update, but the XBL one is supposed to be up already...I haven't checked though.
So, apparently it's not actually out? Shame, because I want to play a demo before I decide if I want it or not...guess we play the waiting game now, or just dismiss Kotaku's claims entirely. =P
Wow, the game is not shitty. It may be a shallow game that could have used a lot of spit and polish, but not it's not shit. Take it for what it is, the gaming equivalent of a summer blockbuster. Its not going to revolutionize the way you look at games, but it may keep you entertained for a couple days. I would say this game is a huge candidate for rental.
