Finally Done!

Well, I was away from my PS3 for a few weeks, but last night I finally finished up the epic MGS4. I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed it. I went into it only having played Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation and as such didn't know the storyline very well. Figuring I'd be clueless most of the time, I got MGS4 pretty much just because of the hype. The cut scenes, while a bit long sometimes, really helped me out and tied a lot of the story from past titles together. All in all, I was very pleased. Your thoughts?

Hopefully they will make a PC version, because I am dying to play it.

Darn me for not having a PS3

I was amazed at the fact that on a regular play through it will normally take 20 hours. However, on a speed playthrough, skipping the cut scene sequences, it can take as little as 4 hours.

This game was amazing. It was my first Metal Gear game but I could not have been more pleased.

Personally I found it to be one of the - if not the best - single player experience(s) I've ever had. I enjoy story heavy games with amazing music, it was an awesome experience for me. The graphics helped too, a nice bonus for sure.

I've played through Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, so after finishing 4 I'm catching up on what I've missed through watching complete game walkthroughs on Youtube. Like the old Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for that platform I always forget the name of. As well as Metal Gear Solid, of course.

excellent game, one of the best this year. Now that you're done, I bet you're feeling the need to replay it. That's what I felt.

I still haven't started it unfortunately. It's been om my desk for 3 weeks now but the lack of time to play is killing me.

Possibly my fav game!  (Knocking Deus Ex off my number 1 spot).  I absolutely loved every second of it.

There was only one problem with it, even though it is supposed to be the last 1 I felt that the very end phone conversation should have left us on a bit of a cliffhanger, even if it would never be followed up.

It's hands down my favorite game.  Best purchase I've made in a very long time!

Excellent game.  It shows what a lot of hard work, a few delays, and some talented designers can do when they work together...with a nice budget. :D

I love this game. I'm a huge fan of this series and I thought this was a great end to Snake's story.

just finished it, done normal mode, now I am wondering weather to do hard, or the even harder mode...
