Are you really taking this all on yourself or are you going to crowd source the data somehow? Also if this isn't in a Community spotlight then community spotlight is fucking up.

As Per Dan's Request, I Give You KojimaTracker
Are you really taking this all on yourself or are you going to crowd source the data somehow? Also if this isn't in a Community spotlight then community spotlight is fucking up.
The data is collected by me alone. Support and help with design and building is community driven!
Episode 2 has been watched the information updated. I changed the format as per requested of some things to make it easier on the eyes and mind.
I also made this twitter profile, if you want updates to the count after every episode but hate visiting a website, follow that.
@jeremyspittle: So stupid. I love it!
If you don't mind I placed the counter on QLCrew. The number is attached to each episode and represents the count after that episode.
@jeremyspittle You've missed a Producer credit at 1:35:18 in episode 2.
I applaud your dedication. You might regret it by episode 90 when you have started saying Kojima's name in your sleep.
I feel like an actual Kojima Tracker would be useful - where the fuck is that guy? Is he still alive? Did the Konami Yakuza get him? When is he starting his next 30-year franchise?
Fuck, man. Metal Gear was one of its kind - there is literally no other franchise with that much history spanning that many consoles with a director that crazy and referential.
@jeremyspittle You've missed a Producer credit at 1:35:18 in episode 2.
I noticed that too; here is a screenshot
@szlifier That's amazing. Thank you!
@thisisacooltag@chrjz Thank you for the correction. I've added it! Keep letting me know if I miss anything, I'm liable to look the other way and miss a quarter of a second image!
Episode 3 has been updated, I believe Kojima appears only 1 time. Drew skipped over the credits :(
So, what the hell is going to happen now? I think that we need to keep it pure and only count the Kojimas in Drew's playthrough specifically.
@Jeremyspittle I really do believe in hot giant bomb stats, and that may have been recordered before the tracker was official as they never mentioned it and that is something Dan would go full mark for.
But I kinda want to know how many the full game has as well. ......... But I also don't want to tell an amazing person how to run their stat tracker site.
I guess I am saying I love you, we should get married so I can tell you how to run Kojima Tracker
@chu52 I believe there were only 3 that Drew skipped. It sounds like Dan is making sure they don't get skipped from here on out. If you want the full count on how many Drew would have seen had he not skipped that, just add 3 to the final count. However I don't think Drew will complete every sideop (or even maybe main mission) in the game, so this project won't have a count of total in the game. I'll leave it up to the viewers at home to find the total number of occurrences in the game!
With that said, Episode 4 is updated. We got a mention on the latest episode, so congratulations everyone who has been helping me with this! I added a predictions page, I'll accept them until Monday (Episode 5) and post everybody's on that page. Just reply in this topic with your predictions! I'll update them through this weekend.
When the series started and they threw around guesses in the hundreds, I was sure that it was a wild overestimation. Now, though...
Kojima's eSports name would be xx_k0j1m4_xx.
Remove the letters and you get 014.
Therefore, there will be 410 Kojimas in total in MGSV.
Thanks for your predictions everyone! The website has been updated to include everybody who submitted.
@dudeglove you posted a lot of numbers so I wasn't sure which one to attribute to you. If you'd like to take one of your results and run with it, let me know and I'll put it on the site! Also I'd doubt they'll stop at 31. Considering the things that Drew is wondering about don't really get resolved until after (and don't say too much, that's the part that I'm on right now and I don't want to be spoiled!)
Episode 5 is updated. Two more missions down and eight more kojimas on the board. It's funny how many people watch these right as they come out - I notice a huge bump overnight on website and twitter traffic. There's a lot of dedicated fans out there staying up late to catch it! (I have to wait until the morning most days!)
If it's not too late, I'd like to undermine Dan's 301 by making my prediction 302.
Put me down.. for 303

As long as Dan loses, everyone else wins.
I'd like to get in on the guessing for the final total. I'm going to go on the lower side and say 290.
Episode 6 has been updated, we're at 47 Kojimas.
I'll update the website with the latest predictions at a later date (when I have some time!). Thank you everybody!
Episode 8 has updated. I encourage you all to check the website once again, as we've transitioned to a brand new website! Special thanks to @expensiveham for all of his work on this project!

I was just checking it out and man it got a pretty fancy facelift! Looks great, awesome work from both of you.
Weeeeeeee're back, everybody!
Backend update: I'll be traveling across the country during the next month so updates probably won't be done in the morning for a little while. I'll work tirelessly to get them out within 24 hours release - but no promises while I'm traveling. If you see someone with MGSc and a spreadsheet open at a bar come up and say hi! It's either me or a confused businessman
Reading the title, I thought this was a spin-off of Drake Tracker 3000 where you somehow collate Kojima's tweets and food and have in-app purchase of..... something... cardboard box???
Me too. Especially now with the Cerny/Kojima World Tour that's going on at the moment.
