Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is an addictive and fun puzzle RPG with vividly crisp visuals. Many are comparing it to Puzzle Quest and are saying if you like it to pick it up. Although I agree, I'm saying its far better than Puzzle Quest! I strongly recommend to at least download the demo versions on either Xbox or PlayStation. While completing all side quests the single player campaign took over 30 hours to complete.I actually...enjoyed the story in this game, and that's saying a lot for a p...
Clash of Heroes is a rather unusual entry in the Might & Magic series and a definite detour from the usual RPG/strategy fair. The best way to describe it would be a blend of old school top-down scroller (think Zelda) with a healthy blend of Columns, Bejeweled, Tetris or similar sort of create rows of similar colours game. The visuals of this game are gorgeous and both the crisp resolution, background graphics and animations are something to behold. Like some of the gameplay, the game takes mo...
I was originally quite excited about Clash of Heroes upon seeing it's preview coverage. This sub-genre of puzzle games (puzzle based RPG's) splashed onto the scene with Puzzle Quest, and ever since I finished it, I've been looking for my next fix. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix didn't quite do it, and Puzzle Quest 2 is still a ways off. However I don't need to wait for it anymore. Clash of Heroes more than scratches this particular itch, with possibly a better battle system than PQ.The combat plays out...
I never played the original Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes when it was released on the DS in 2009, but the HD downloadable remake for PSN and XBLA could not have come at a better time. If any of you are like me, then you were probably experiencing a bit of withdrawal associated with the pre-summer release doldrums. The only thing you had going was looking to the horizon for the release of Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat. However, on its own merits M&M:CoH is a fantastic game with a nicotinesqu...
Since Puzzle Quest there has been a rash of puzzle RPGs. Might and Magic Clash of Heroes keeps the rash growing. Anyone that likes the puzzle RPG genre will really get into it. Only a few minor issues hold back CoH from being a perfect. The story for the game is standard. The forces of evil are attacking and you are charged to save the world. Most of the story is told via well drawn stills, and in dialog. The writing in the game is well done. I never felt that anything said in the game w...
If you liked Puzzle Quest as much as I did, you will like this game. Period. It really does scratch the exact same itch as that game although the gameplay is clearly different. I loved the different classes/character options, ability to customize armies and artifacts that allowed further customization of specific themed builds. The story mode, while not doing anything dramatically new or special, was a nice touch to introduce you to the different characters and gradually introduce new classes.Th...
