The Mil Mi-28 also known as Havoc (NATO code name) is a Russian attack helicopter for all-weather day , night purposes ,designed under Marat Tishchenko in 1980 . It was designed and better optimized as a tank hunter helicopter than its previews version of Mi 24 which was "slower" and had transport purposes and less armament than the Mil Mi 28 .
The Mi 28 has 2 heavily armored cockpits and a bulletproof windshield that can resist 7.62 mm enemy bullets. Also its nose its equipped with electronics and its narrow x tail rotor is reducing noise for stealthier missions against enemy infantry in the area .
Even if the Mi 28 was not meant to transport troops it has the capability to carry three people and the reason is mostly for rescue purposes ( downed pilots etc ).
This attack helicopter is equipped with a 30mm Chain gun and it can carry various rockets , like a pair o 8 Ataka missile racks along with 2 B-13L rocked pads which are able to carry 5 S-13 rockets.
