Intrepid exploration and soothing atmosphere make Minecraft great
What is Minecraft really? How about a better question -- What isnt Minecraft? Its a sandbox game populated by animals, resources and all sorts of danger that culminates in a sprawling, 3D-world comprised of blocky polygons. Yes, Minecraft is not a pretty looking game but thats also what makes it so charming. When you start a new game it only takes mere seconds for the game to generate huge, never ending landscapes that is completetly open for you to explore.
You`ll mine stone and ore, craft items, build fortresses and barricade yourself from the danger that lurks during night time. Minecraft has no goals or objective, its pure self-entertainment. You can craft and create just about everything you want, castles, waterslides, rollercoasters and the like and then marvel at your creations or play around with them. Finding everything you need to make something ambitious is time consuming but as soon as you have a general idea of what you want to make, setting out to acclompish that is superfun and you´ll find yourself becoming addicted as you set out to explore every corner of this vast world.
The only downside is that Minecraft has no in-game tutorial to teach you the basics of making a shelter or what items create what. This means that you will have to refeer to outside sources which is by no means tedious, but it does mean that if you lack an internet connection and get stuck trying to create something, you are out of luck.
Minecraft has several difficulty levels to mess around with. "Peaceful" is just pure creation--no zombies, skeletons or spiders will show up at night to kill you and you also regenerate health. The baffling part about Minecraft is that if you die, respawing means respawing back where you started, and you´ll have to tread back to your corpse to retrieve all your items. It can be dicing.
For just a few pennies, you´ll be suprised at how fun, utterly engrossing and entertaining Minecraft can be. Its not really a game of any kind of genre, but it has managed to craft (excuse the pun) an entirely new form of videogames, all with just a few blocky polygons. That´s quite an achievement.
So far, all gamers have heard about Minecraft and probably tried it. There are no games that give players this much freedom. With an insane amount of community created content, Minecraft will bring hours of fun, for both singleplayer and multiplayer, for both children and adults. Fight monsters, build cities, play minigames... there are no limits to what you can do in Minecraft.One of my favourite games of all time. It will leave it's mark in the history of gaming. ...
There isn't much to say about the game because its still in alpha but i'll say it is fun, addicting , relaxing, slightly creepy, and sometimes wacky The base of the game now is just play around with the block types and try to get diamond and thrive rather than just survive. Not to say that the game is not a challenge; There are exploding failed attempts at a pig model (and yes i know that that is what creepers are for a fact I heard it from notch), skeleton archers, giant spiders, and zombi...
