In Moving Out, 1 to 4 players work together as employees for a moving company, with the goal of putting all the items on the moving list into the company's moving truck. While small items can be carried easily and thrown, large items cannot be thrown and will seriously slow the character down, requiring at least one additional mover to carry at full speed or throw. Fragile items need to be set down as they will break if thrown and not caught by another mover. Environmental hazards like rivers and ghosts will remove the movers from the map, and respawn them at the beginning after a set amount of time. Minigames are also included as rewards for achieving bonus objectives.
