Age in Myst III: Exile.

A small hub world, Direbo is described as an Age for resting. From this island, passage may be gained to four other Ages involved in the Quest for the tablet. Linking books are also found to varying depths of the Great Shaft.

It was intended to connect the Great City to the planet's surface, but the project was aborted mere meters from its destination. Being so close to the surface, the shaft was eventually discovered by an excavation team in the late 20th century.
