It is related to extraterrestrial life and anything that required a industry embargo has to be something big.

NASA Sets News Conference on Astrobiology Discovery; Science Journal Has Embargoed Details Until 2 p.m. EST On Dec. 2
WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe.
The news conference will be held at the NASA Headquarters auditorium at 300 E St. SW, in Washington. It will be broadcast live on NASA Television and streamed on the agency's website at http://www.nasa.gov.
Participants are:
- Mary Voytek, director, Astrobiology Program, NASA Headquarters, Washington
- Felisa Wolfe-Simon, NASA astrobiology research fellow, U.S. Geological Survey, Menlo Park, Calif.
- Pamela Conrad, astrobiologist, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.
- Steven Benner, distinguished fellow, Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution, Gainesville, Fla.
- James Elser, professor, Arizona State University, Tempe
Media representatives may attend the conference or ask questions by phone or from participating NASA locations. To obtain dial-in information, journalists must send their name, affiliation and telephone number to Steve Cole at stephen.e.cole@nasa.gov or call 202-358-0918 by noon Dec. 2.

NASA to Hold Press Conference on Astrobiology Finding
" If all they're going to announce is that they've found bacteria on another planet. I'll be unimpressed. NOBODY CARES ABOUT SPACE GERMS!....At this point it needs to be a real walking talking alien! "At this point they need to find life on other planet before investigating the universe
It's supposedly rumored to be either bacteria from one of Saturn's moons, plant life, or the even more less likely Covenant Invasion fleet." If all they're going to announce is that they've found bacteria on another planet. I'll be unimpressed. NOBODY CARES ABOUT SPACE GERMS!....At this point it needs to be a real walking talking alien! "
It's going to be something totally lame. NASA hasn't done anything worthwhile in years. Sure, those Mars rovers were cool, and lasted way longer than intended, but really, was that a better use of tax dollars than to spend it, you know, on Earth, where we live?!
NASA scientists will announce a major discovery this Thursday that could boost the chance of life on other worlds. Experts believe they will say they have found a new form of life on Earth that is completely alien to anything known before.
But our own investigations suggest that it follows a breakthrough in the discovery of microbes in a deadly poisonous lake that get their energy from arsenic. Experts say this shows they had a completely different origin to any other creature known on our planet. It means that life began not just once but at least twice on Earth.
That's pretty damn cool.
Those who watched this on CNN but want to learn more can watch the Nasa conference at http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
Its a bacteria that substitutes arsenic instead of phosrous

A life form that replaces Phosphorous in its DNA Helix with Arsenic." So what the fuck did they announce? "
@Sogeman said:
It's alien by definition, not alien as in little green men with flying saucers." How exactly is this life form alien? Just because it's different? That's racist... ;) "
When ppl finds oxygen on other planets, everyone actually believes that there are going to be intellegent alien life too. Way to draw false conclusions about your false belif system. I don't care about bacteria, bits of traces of oxygen or a big of water. Those things seperately aren't enough to sustain life.

Basically, any time it was assumed that life could not possibly exist in a hostile environment, that may have been incorrect (although for this reason that assumption was generally not made).

Or are they Hybrids?
I hear a lot about NWO and Hybrids these days.
