The first 2D Mario platformer for a home console in over 15 years. Though it has single-player, it focuses heavily on cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to 4 players to play simultaneously. This game also premiered Nintendo's Super Guide hint system.
That's kinda rad. It's not unusual for Capcom to work with Nintendo's properties. Didn't they make those Zelda oracle of ages/seasons games for the Gameboy Color, too?

They made all the handheld Zeldas until the DS ones. In my opinion, they had a better understanding of how to make handheld Zelda's than Nintendo seems to have. Not that I don't like Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks. I just think that they're weak points when compared to the rest of the series.
This is what all modern arcade machines should be like, huge, multiplayer and crazy. Which reminds me, I really hope Ryan gets to record some footage of that multiplayer Pac-Man CE DX thing he mentioned on the podcast.
Didn't Namco also do that F-Zero cabinet that tied in with the F-Zero game on GameCube? I would like to see more cool console-arcade connections like that.

I think the F-Zero AX cabinet was created by Sega. I'm not sure. I've had the chance to play it before, though, and holy shit, it's rad.
And I'd love to get the chance to play that New Super Mario Bros. arcade game.
