    Overview

Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call is a hidden objects game developed by Artifex Mundi and published by G5 Entertainment (later by Artifex Mundi) for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad, and Android.

The game was published by Avanquest in EU and AU regions and by Viva Media for some physical PC releases.

    Gameplay

In Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call players move between various mostly static screens. Within these scenes are various objects, characters, and puzzles to interact with. Players have a persistent inventory which key items are kept until they have fulfilled their use.

There are three main types of game play in the game: hidden object scenes, puzzles, and Mahjong solitaire puzzles.

    Hidden Object Scenes

The hidden object scenes consist of a single screen filled with many items. There are multiple types of hidden object scenes, each with the same basic goal of finding a specific list of items. In some of the scenes players must find specific items that are to be used on other items. Other scenes simply involve players finding a list of items.

    Puzzles

There are various puzzles located throughout the games environment that when solved grant access to new areas or important items. Puzzles range from gear puzzles to jigsaw style puzzles to slider puzzles and more.

    Mahjong Solitaire

In place of any hidden object scene players can choose to play a game of mahjong solitaire. These puzzles have a set of mahjong tiles stacked in various configurations. Players can remove a pair of matching tiles if they both have a free side.
