There's 30 fuckin games at launch. 90% of them probably being shovelware. Most likely, I'll just get Zelda Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid 3.

Probably Super Street Fighter IV is going to be the only one, if that.

Why would I buy a handheld just so I can play games that I've already played before?

Zero, never buy a console at launch. Wait a year when the price drops and there is more than 2 good games.

Zero but I'm still buying at launch. Hopefully there'll be some good GBC games to tide me over until some real games come out for it.

None, I'll wait till they have some interesting games on the 3DS before I consider buying it. At the moment I see to many rehashes of old stuff (RE5, StreetFighter, Zelda:OOT, Nintendogs,...) and to few new things. Haven't seen anything that I would consider a system seller. Kid Icarus might be interesting, but more because of the name recognition, then anything I have seen of the actual game so far.

Also while I am kind of interested in a Zelda:OOT handheld version, that is really something that Nintendo should have given us five years ago on the NintendoDS, not on the 3DS and especially not with those old-school N64 style graphics.

@krazy_kyle: RE: The Mercenaries is the launch RE, Mario Kart and MGS aren't launch either.

It seems people are confused what the NA launch titles are, so here you go:
    • Pilotwings Resort
    • Nintendogs + Cats
    • Steel Diver
    • Dead or Alive: Dimensions
    • Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D
    • Madden NFL
    • SSIV: 3D Edition
    • Asphalt 3d
    • Winner Of The Greatest Name Of 2011 - COMBAT OF GIANTS: DINOSAURS
    • Ridge Racer 3D
    • RE: The Mercenaries 3D
    • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

EDIT: Hmm, the Giant Bomb guys seem to think that list of 30 games by June is the only thing we can go off of, but Destructoid put up the list above as day one games. MYSTERIOUS.

30 by June..  and games like Ocarina, MGS3, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, etc, are only listed as in development - meaning they likely won't be out until the end of the year.

I'm still waiting to see a list of launch games before I decide if I even really want a 3DS.  But at the moment I'm interested in the new Ridge Racer, DOA, Rayman and Samurai Warriors (hey, they're fun hack and slashers and I haven't played one since Dynasty Warrios 2).  But none of these are really what I'd consider super compelling system sellers.
