I would love to know what benefit all these ECO cases bring and how much we are actually saving. Since I don't plan on ever chucking out game cases I don't see how making a proper full case is a having a negative effect on the environment, maybe there are a ton of people who chuck cases.

Couldn't Nintendo put the manuals straight onto the cartridges? They couldn't take up too much space, as many manuals are turning into disgraceful one-page control booklets anyways. 
 
I'd be lying if I told you that I disliked the new cases, though. The first thing I'll do when I take home Ocarina of Time is rip the cover art out of the box and mount that beautiful plastic beast on my wall.

Not a big deal to me, case goes in a box in the attic while the cart goes in my DS carrying case until I get my money's worth and eBay the game.  

Just hate it when they have holes behind the little flaps for holding in the game manual.  With manuals getting smaller and smaller, that shit just pokes through and causes an indentation in the plastic.

Fuck that shit if I'm paying for a game and I can only get a physical copy I want that shit to be packaged properly. The only DS game I've purchased in the past 2 years is Soul Silver a couple of weeks ago. That game came in a nice box.
