You have to love this story, a tale of how popular the DS games are, that they are currency for ha heroin exchange:

Heroin criminal caught with DS games in his pants
    (original article at Nintendo Everything)

Daniel Larson, a largely wanted man in Lee County, Florida, was finally arrested earlier this week at a local Walmart after being caught with a handful of DS games in his pants (and shoes). An officer caught Larson in the act and quickly attempted to end the situation. Even though Larson pushed the officer to the ground, Larson was arrested shortly thereafter.

The criminal almost made off with $120 worth of titles. Just by doing the maths, that’s probably around 4 games that he had shoved into his pants and shoes. Following his newest arrest, he admitted to police that he was planning to sell the DS games so that he could obtain money for heroin. Larson additionally said that he’d been using the drug for 15 years or so.

Larson has had a rather wide-ranging criminal record. In 1999 and 2004, he was arrested and convicted for armed robbery with a deadly weapon in 1999 and 2004. He was also convicted in 1999 for kidnapping. After most recently violating his probation for one of the armed robbery charges from 2006, Larson was again a wanted criminal.

What kind of DS games get the best price on the street?  Are young girls with games ending in "z" safe?  Would you buy a DS game from a drug crazed street vendor?  Do you keep your DS games in your shoes?  So many questions.  ^_^

If they were EA games, they could probably find a way to get it into the marketing campaign. "Need for Speed", see most of the work is done for them.

Speaking from personal experience, addicts will still anything and everything that can possibly be sold to get enough money for their next fix. Electronics are pretty high on that list, I'd imagine.

Maybe this dude should steal a DS and then steal some Brain Training games.  I am sure they might help.

This is bad news to read about somebody like this. It won't be long before he ends up murdering somebody & finally gets put away for life.  That's how it works. They start out with small crime & then move to the big time where they end up dead or in jail.  Somebody should just shoot him now & save some future victims the trouble.
