I am shopping for a six-year-old, and for a pet-themed game I'm trying to decide between Animal Crossing: Wide World or one of the Nintendogs games. Which would you recommend?

Nintendogs is the best choice IMO......

I also go with nintendogs. My Friends kid whom is 8 i think loves that game.

Yeah Nintendogs would be your best bet for the 6 year old. I just bought pokemon for ds (cant remember which one exactly) for my 5 year old nephew and he loves it. Just depends on what you want to get exactly.

Nintendogs. Animal Crossing might be slightly above the attention-span of a six-year old.

Going with the pack - go with Nintendogs.

Nintendogs is a lot more fun.

Nintendogs if he's easily impressed; Animal Crossing if he's like a mini genius, or doesn't like dogs.

Plus, when he grows up he will draw comparisons between the characters and certain...things
