    So, there you are, shipwrecked on an island and all you have is your DS (with a solar powered charger) and 5 games.  There is little chance you will be rescued, so you need to be comfortable for a long life alone.  


    What 5 games are you going to want with you?



    I figure that you need games that have a really long life and great replayability if you reach the end.  With that in mind, these are my 5 games:

    One of my favourite franchises.  It goes on pretty much forever and you can do it all over again and marry someone else.  Perfect.

    Hell, I spent 1000 hours playing the GBA version.  You can play it through and do it all again with different objectives.  Plus, the characters are awesome.

    Constantly striving for 100% will virtually take forever.  You won't be satisfied unless you get that perfect score on every game.  That will take an eternity.

    I did a blog like this called "Desert Island Games", which was based loosely on a BBC radio show here, it wasn't DS specific though..

    This is very hard.

    AC - I would uproot every weed on the island if I didn't get my fix
    Korg DS-10  - would keep me busy making tunes, sat in front of a fire singing to Mr coconut face
    Mario Kart DS - If online functionality was unhindered, this would be a certain choice
    Street Fighter Alpha 3 GBA     - Addicted to this, play it often in bursts, I will never tire of it
    Nintendogs Shibu Edition - My Bowser could keep me company during harsh times on the island

    I was massively addicted to Harvest Moon on the Gamecube at one point. I would definately have squeezed it in there if I owned a copy of a DS H.M. Actually makes me wonder why I dont have one.

    I watched every episode of Gilligan's Island.  There isn't anything I can't do with some coconuts and shells  :-)
