Now, I have to say, fighters are not my thing and I never owned any of these.  To be honest, I also have no desire to do so.  But this was the height of the 2D fighting era and many people loved them.

So which ones did you own and play and which ones would you like to see in a DSi VC store?

Yeah, 2D fighters are better on handhelds, but honestly, I think that 2D fighters are better than 3D ones on every platform.

Oh man, ouch...1.5/5? I guess my standards for games were a lot lower when I was a kid.

Haha, I so had that game, it was around the time of that Manga. All the GB fighters are pretty lame to my knowledge.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 on the GBA is pretty cool for a handheld fighter on the machine, it scored well in reviews here. It's a surprisingly good version.

I had no idea there was a Killer Instinct for the Game Boy. 

None of those things sound super appealing to me, I choose not to play Game Boy Fighters :P But how can you go wrong with Shaq- Fu?

Mortal Kombat 2 was pretty good on the GB...except that it only had three different backgrounds. It was the complete opposite of the first MK GB game, good gameplay, bad graphics.
