The Japanese goddess of the sun. She was once considered the divine progenitor of the Japanese people.
Literally translated as "heavenly bird-boat," Ame no Torifune transported Take-Mikazuchi from heaven to earth so that the latter god could plead to Okuninushi to relinquish his rule of Japan to Amaterasu's grandson. It is ambiguous if Ame no Torifune is a god or merely a divine vehicle.
Goddess of dawn and merriment in Japanese myth. When Amaterasu hid in a cave from Susanoo's violent behavior, it was Ame no Uzume's raucous dancing which drew her back out.
A sagacious agricultural deity of Japanese folklore. He is generally depicted as an immobile scarecrow and is said to possess an unparalleled range of knowledge.
A god from Japanese mythology, who was born along with Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi when Izanagi washed his face of the evils of Yomi. Usually appears as the ultimate Persona of the Fool arcana in the Persona games.
A powerful Kami of Japanese myth. He is said to be enshrined at Togakushi Jinja in Nagano.
Shinto god of thunder said to have participated in the first sumo match against Take-Minakata. He makes frequent appearances in the Shin Megami Tensei series.
The lunar god of Japanese Shinto tradition. He was fathered by Izanagi along with his siblings Amaterasu and Susanoo.
