    For you Master!

You know, there are only a few game in the season calandar that actually have some form of refreshing take on a known subject, and Overlord II is one of them.Sure, the first one did the same thing, and it was fairly entertaining. But what about Overlord II?Is the sequel worth a try?

    Story

The story of this Overlord is just after Overlord : Minions, and you play as the son of the former Overlord.Your first mission, as a witch-boy, as you are called, is to save yourself and the people of Nordberg from the invasion of The Glorius Empire (a nock-off of The Roman Empire)  and stop their destruction of anything magical. So the story itself isn't that great or epic. But the script and satire taste of the whole game wins it for me.Even if some parts are controversial (baby seal killing), they do take a "a la Black Adder" take on it by making the elves looking rather familiar to a certain animal savers group.

    Gameplay

The gameplay has stayed the same from the first game, with some minor changes. You still have the choice of four types of minions.Browns - your melee fighters,Reds - your ranged units,Greens - steath units and Blues - your swimming units. The minions are still the main focus of the game, which makes it a interesting blend of RTS and RPG, which made the first game so (un)popular. The only bigger flaw in this version is the boat sequences and the camera at some times. You have to give credit to the programmers by trying to implate some new elements, but the end result of those parts of the story leave a lot to be desired.

    Sound

The sound department in this sequel is probably it's best asset. The music, although stereotype at some places, fits right in the Overlord Universe. The voice acting makes the rather clunky-looking cutscenes some life, and provides the games with a hefty dose of humor, which truly makes for a great expirience.

    Graphics

True to be told, the graphics in Overolrd II look a tad dated, but the "twisted fairy tale" look of the setting covers up quite nicely. The cutscenes,as metioned before, are the only major flaw in this game. The characters look really ugly and rather demented.

    Final Verdict

Overlord II is a mix of things.RPG and RTS.Humor and controversy.Bad camera and great voice acting. But when it all comes together,Overlord II manages to cover up most of its flaws, and the guilty plasure of you minions tormenting townsfolk never gets old.
