A pancake is a round cake that is prepared using batter, eggs, milk, and typically a rising agent. Once prepped, the batter is poured onto a heated surface, generally a griddle, but a frying pan can even be used. By region, pancakes can differ, such as a thinner pancake may be called a crepe.
Pancakes are also generally topped with butter and syrup. However, different types of fruit, sugar, and whipped toppings can also be applied to pancakes.

So much so, that it took the balanced nutrition of pancakes and bacon to give the Giantbomb crew the fuel they needed to announce the site's acquisition by CBS Interactive, the same company that owns rival website, GameSpot. Dave Snider lovingly created these pancakes for the crew at his home.
Chemically speaking, the body's ability to absorb the delicious concentrated energy stored in pancakes is severely dependent on the ratio of syrup administered. This ideal ratio is individual to the person consuming the pancakes, and can be traced back through both genetics and your chosen religion. Despite syrup's necessary relationship with pancakes, it has been shown that consuming syrup on its own can lead to health complications such as diabetes, and being a fat ass.
