Hi guys,

I've decided to overhaul my machine completely, and am extremely out of the loop. After a few hours research, I know that I probably want an i5-4690K/GTX 970 build, but I'm struggling when it comes to pitting the entire thing together.

I've included a link to the quote I've received for a very preliminary build, but I definitely feel like I could shave £s off without sacrificing quality. Basically looking to future-proof, while retaining bang-for-your-buck.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated (esp with regard to the motherboard - no idea when it comes to that area).

• You don't need a sound card unless you are doing professional music production work.
• 16GB of RAM is overkill, 8 is fantastic.
• You should get Windows 8.1 instead of 7.

Otherwise seems great.
