Hi, i want to know your guys view on a estimated price for my system

CPU: FX-8150 OC 4.2 ghz / Zalman LQ-320 Liquid Cooler

GPU: NVIDIA GTX Gefore 660 ti

MB: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB x 4 = 16 GB

HDD: 750 GB 7200 RPM

PS: OCZ ZX Series 850W (gold edition)

Disc Drive: LG Black Blu-ray reader/writer

What the highest price i can get for this system?

$500 max. Maybe more if you sell the parts standalone.

Motherboard and CPU are what kills the price.

Depends on how much the buyer knows about PC gaming and components. I'd ask for $1000, but it probably isn't worth that. I just sold this one for $1800.

I mean, you can easily try to sell it for higher. I don't actually know what people are willing to pay for used PCs. I just wouldn't pay more than that. If your going to eBay then yea slap it up there and see if you get any hits. Cost you like what $20 if no one buys (haven't used eBay is 10 years; no clue what fees are now)? I would recommend offering free shipping if you throw it up there for that price. That would probably net you a lot more views and interested buyers if you are willing to eat the $50 or whatever it would be to ship.

@ch3burashka: Thanks. It was just the PC and I threw in some decent 2.1 speakers. I usually provide tech support for the life of the systems I sell so that further encourages people to buy.

If selling on Ebay, prepare to get rocked hard by commission fees.

sell it locally, ebay buyers are too price savvy and after fees you will come out poorly.

i'd say $500 would be a fair expectation. Problem you're going to have is that anyone looking to buy a gaming pc either has the money to do it the easy way and buy new a prebuilt one or anyone looking to save some money is gonna be looking for a deal and won't be willing to go much higher than that price. I've never had good luck selling old PC gear because the market is always being flooded with newer better tech. A lot of times, i end up practically giving it away to friends who want to have their own pc to play games on.

fuck off 500$ for that.... thats at least 800$... try buy that machine on things like newegg for 500$ you idiots..... I wouldn't sell it for 1000$ no way, but i'd say around 700$ or so for all that..........

That RAM will cost you 120$ the graphics card is 260-280$ and the 8150 is still like 150$ thats nearly 500 right there.........

The key is that his computer isn't new. Only crazy people pay full price for a used system.

His is a used system, not just putting together existing parts. Won't get more than $5-600 because you can build new for that much.

I'd say $600 tops. $800 if you find someone who doesn't know anything that you can screw over.

I say that because I don't really think you could make enough off of it to justify selling it. Honestly you're probably just better off keeping it and replacing the mobo and cpu.
