Likely maxed bar ssao and the other stupidly titled post-processing option.

I run similar specs to you, albeit it not as good. Phenom X4 955, 4GB DDR3 and an HD4870 and I can run it at 1920 x 1080 (at a decent frame-rate) on ultra, bar those two options and motion blur.

I think you should be able to max it out, don't use ubersampling and remove the ugly ass motion blur, Voila. Beautiful game.

You might be able to max it out, but that game is a performance hog. The good news is it looks great no matter what.

I haven't played the Witcher 2 but a good rule of thumb is turning off AA on higher resolution. They're not doing much for the amount of performance they take up, in my opinion. Don't know if you have to force that through Nvidia control panel though. As I said, never played it.

Edit: and force vertical sync to be off. Not a whole lot of worth... on medium systems, right?

If you just upgraded your PC why don't you just download fraps and find out?

Just don't enable Ubersampling and you will do fine on ultra (CPU might choke you some), the game is pretty well put together and scales nicely.

I play it on Ultra with no ubersampling and get 45-60 FPS with an fx6100 /GTX 560/ 8Gigs ram, which is acceptable for me. You should be able to cap 60.

Ubersampling is for SLI configs.  It's made with SLI in mind.
