Hey guys, looking at buying the XFX version of the HD4870 ATI card (1GB), been looking online (youtube) and people are stating their cards run at memory clock speeds no where near 3600mhz (most around 1106mhz)

So is this speed (750/3600mhz) advertised on the XFX website accurate? Or is that only if you overclock?

OK, my first impulse response was definatley not and yes, only if you OC; However, I just checked Newegg for the XFX cards and they indeed say 3600Mhz, I gues because It's GDDR5. Also, none of the reviewers note any form of misadvertizement. Newegg is also like 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% correct on their information for products so I would trust that they're right.

That card will max any game out so theres no need worrying and it is pretty cheap anyways.

XFX 285GTX is what I use, and as a XFX Only user, I don't think it's only for Overclock, but usually they have a XXX or Black Edition for their cards which is Built in OC

It's running 1200mhz triple channel I bet... so a 100 mhz overclock on that card.
