Atlus USA just recently posted new videos on their Youtube channel demonstrating the special moves of the Persona 4 characters (with the exception of Teddie because his voice wasn't ready for this).

The one that might be the most interesting to most is the Chie Satonaka one as it shows off her new voice:

It seems that most people are liking her new voice. I'm okay with it, as well. From some gameplay videos, it seems that Teddie's was more restrained and fitting than the high pitched squealing that was shown in the first tutorial video, but the final result remains to be seen as his move video isn't out yet.

It has the same problems I had with the Tales of ____ series. Everyone needs to take a shut the fuck up pill during combat. At least not all of the special moves need to have their names shouted.

So what.. saying nothing the entire fight? That would be boring and you'd hear nothing but punches and kicks, you might as well talk to street fighter about that issue was well...

    HADOOOOKKEENNNN!

Also.. this: The man Series: Death by Brofist.. SOLD

I might have to main Kanji and Akihiko.

I think a more apt comparision here would be Blazblue, my man!

Thankfully it all just becomes white noise after a while. Still not a game you want to play at night or when you already have a headache.

Gotta admit, the Man Series: Brofist might be the best name for a move I have ever seen.

I think new Chie sounds fine, btw.

That video is not a good indication of Chies new voice. I demand the new Chie read a Shakespearean soliloquy.

I think the end of Yosuke's video is a good indication of what her voice will be like as any (where she says "How could I lose to Yosuke!?").

I've heard a bit of the voice. She sounds like she's from New Jersey.

Teddie's voice doesn't seem as bad as it initially sounded, but I'm still not sure I'm sold on it.

There is one glaring omission in Kanji's moveset. How does he not have a wrestling move where he picks up his opponent and smashes them down onto his knee, yelling "Get bent!"?

I'm so relieved to see it all be quarter circle inputs for the specials. I think fighting games should be learning what the specials do and what situation they're used in, not having to input halfcircleback-forward-punch-quartercircleforward-punch in a half-second. Or charge characters, or weird Tekken 'hold punch' or 'neutral' stuff. Anything more than a z-motion is fucked to pull off on pads.

Apparently there are charge characters. Well eff that.

Also Mitsuru is Jin. Surprised she doesn't have the ice car.

@Brodehouse: Mitsuru's a charge character. But yeah, they stated that they made the inputs for the moves simple for fighting game newcomers and I also don't see the necessity for special moves that require complex movements like Vega's 123219 + 3 kicks ultra. Having to learn how to actually perform moves instead of learning the moves themselves is a needless hurdle.

@Brodehouse: Well, Mitsuru is a charge character, but I've heard her charge moves are easier to pull of than usual?

But yes, since I'm a fighting game newbie, I'm glad too. I can't even pull off the z-motion, really.

@FluxWaveZ: @BigChief: Yeah, I just watched her video and felt bashful. I had hope from watching Kanji's, I fully expected him to be doing 360s like Gief and so I'd never be able to play him (I still don't understand how to do them without jumping).

I wonder what the juggling is like, how much off the wall and ground stuff they'll have. I got maybe on the lower tier of intermediate at MvC3, but I never wanted to remember those super long strings since the setup game and out-thinking my opponent was always way more rewarding.

@Brodehouse: This game is very combo heavy, so memorizing combo strings is pretty much needed in competitive play.

This might give you an idea:
