According to Destructoid we are getting Persona 4 Golden in February 2013. I think I will probably still end up importing, dont really want to wait the extra months!

The Vita isn't region locked?

Nope the cards themselves work fine, I think its just the digital downloads where we have the region problems.

Well, the PS3 was also supposedly only region locked when it came to downloads...

I'm just happy we got an estimation before the NA release.

As usual though, people should remember that NIS doesn't consider Scandinavia, Finland or Poland part of Europe, nor do they care about Australia or New Zealand, so if you're in any of these areas you'll be importing regardless.

@BlackLagoon: At least I'll be importing from somewhere closer by, it's cheaper to buy stuff from Amazon in the UK than online or in stores here in Sweden anyway and if they somehow should get a region lock on it it'll at least belong to the same region as me. I guess I'll never fully get over the P4A debacle...

The situation is worse than that, we don't have an estimated date at all for P4A other than that they're working on it.

At least they're not wasting their time localizing it as I doubt any of this games audience would care for German, French or Spanish languages.

The only somewhat reasonable thing I can think of is to get PAL50 support in there, syncing a fighting game up to people playing at different framerates might be tricky. We eventually got Blazblue so you'd think they would already have a solution available for this (not to mention all previous fighting games that made it here) though.

If I save up and get myself a Vita in Feb to play this game can I also find Persona 3 portable in the UK psn store??

@Clouise: Yup, though I believe it's still 24£ / 30€.

I already bought the Japanese version so yeah. I would still have imported it from somewhere, Finland used to getting shafted on the Sony front by now.

@Clouise: Yeah, Persona 1, Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 3 are all available from Ghostlight. The two latter are a bit pricy though, and you unfortunately just missed a 50% off sale.

That's not a bad date if that's true. I think I should be able to scrape up enough cash to get a Vita by then. Probably the only game I'll ever get a system for but I hear the Vita is pretty good so no big deal.

I was always going to be tempted to import this to save money but getting it 3 months earlier is an extra incentive to do so.

I feel bad for people that have to import games. Being in the US not really an issue, though I have thought about importing Deadly Premonition on the PS3....

I import my games from www.videogamesplus.ca and they tend to be very fair on their import pricing, I think delivery is only something like £4.99. I got my original DS Phat from there as well and got it on the US release date.
