Atlus Faithful receive hype email, SMT announcement likely

If you're on the Atlus newsletter, you just received an email that probably made your thoughts immediately jump to a Persona 5 reveal. No "guess which game this is" teasing, no hints, just a blank page with the text "Stay Tuned." Atlus wouldn't tease anything like this except for a Persona 5 reveal, would they? They wouldn't care about waiting til E3, when they can speak so directly to all their fans, right?

Any speculation on what this is? As much as I'm trying to temper expectations, especially after all that teasing they did about their last two announcements, I really can't think of what else this could be. We knew a reveal was coming soon. My guess is a Japanese release in the winter next year, with a western release in the spring.

Persona 5 will never be announced by Atlus USA, so that was already a rather silly theory (no offence.)

As long as it's not an announcement for Catherine 2, I'll be happy. I didn't hate it, but going into it with the knowledge of Atlus' other games made it a huge let down. I hope they take the lessons they learned from it, and it's in game engine, and move onto Persona 5, or something else.

Again, it's from Atlus US, it's not going to be a new game announcement. It'll be the Persona fighting game being localised.

I always forget non-Americans spell "offense" with a 'c'.

Not as bad as the spellcheckers always insisting I use a "z" instead of an "s". specialize vs. specialise, recognize vs. recognise, etc.

I will let them off on Harbor, Neighbor, Color, etc vs Harbour, Neighbour, Colour - as even I can see the "u" has become superfluous - and I think our pronunciation of Lieutenant as Leftenant is just trolling foreigners :D
