The maybe not-so-intended consequence of an enemy's own body parts being on their loot table and the player character being able to steal.

    Short summary describing this concept.

    Overview

Sometimes an enemy's body part(s) are part of their loot table. This may be because the item can be used as proof of death in a quest, part of an ingredient in crafting, or it could just be meant to sell to a merchant for currency. If the player character has the ability to steal or pickpocket, they may be able to steal these items from the enemy, which is rather odd and probably not particularly intended by the developer.

This phenomenon is mostly known because of MMOs like EverQuest where rogues could sometimes pickpocket goblins' ears, gargoyles' eyes, giants' toes, or orcs' scalps from unsuspecting, still-living enemies.

This odd occurrence can also be found in popular RPGs like Final Fantasy XII where Vaan can steal hides straight off wolves' backs or even bone fragments from undead skeletons.
