It's been a long time coming, but the PS2 is finally dropping to $99 on April 5th. This has been rumored for a while, but the retail flyers for that week confirmed it, as well as some computer entries posted over on the High Def Digest forums.
So the PS2 is dropping below $100 finally after nine years on the market. But do you think this is really going to spur sales or even put a dent in the Wii juggernaut? Seems like too little too late from Sony at this point, especially when they should be busting ass to get the PS3 price down.
This should be officially announced on the 31st.

PS2 dropping to $99
wow finally? it was all ways stupid of sony to keep the thing at 129 when the psOne lowered down to 99 much sooner i might pick up a replacement for my current psTwo.
I probably should get one so I can play Metal Gear Solid (1-3) and Persona. Plus some other games I can't think of now.
