Only way you would find a PS3 for cheap is Craigslist, Kijiji or Ebay.  I'd love to have a PS3 too, but sometimes you just need to understand that you won't get it.

Can you sell some of your stuff? I sold some old stuff I never used to save up for my PS3.

The thing you gotta remember is that even if you get just enough for the console, you are still going to need to buy a game for it, demos only hold out for so long.   Well good luck with getting the PS3 man it is a great console "

If you're thinking about buying online I would start by searching here or waiting for a deal on CAG.

You need to soften them up. Be extra nice to them for a while. Do some extra chores. Then the next time you ask for a PS3, they might feel a little guilty for not getting you one.  "

I have both a PS3 and a 360 and honestly I could live with just one or the other. Unless your absolutely dying to have Uncharted 2 and/or Demon Souls then your not missing out on a ton if you have a 360.

Dude, if u cant afford it, then DONT buy it. Your just 16 years old. Study hard and get a good job. Then buy whatever video game u want n u also wont have to ask/beg anyone.
 
You could also work part-time. Just do anything. Work as a waiter etc..save up n buy ur game !!

Sounds to me like you just have to be grateful with what you got for now.

Do your parents have a Blu ray player ? If not then make sure they know that ps3s play bluray films too so they wont just be gettin you one for playing games but the whole family will be able to watch HD Films with it :O

Get a job/money. But seeing as you are not here for an obvious answer you can always murder/steal for your gaming console of choice.

Hey if you really want PS3 then I would keep checking places like Ebay, Craigslist, and used sellers off of Amazon. But hey honestly, find an auction in your area. I know it's a little weird but sometimes auctions have some great stuff for dirt cheap. I mean sure the reason for the dirt cheapness is usually police repossession or the items are part of a drug bust. Yeah, I know it's kind of odd. But hey, if you're desperate it can't hurt

Pay an old middle eastern man to walk out of a best buy with a cart full of XBOX 360 games. Meanwhile, you walk out beside him with a DVD you didn't pay for in your bag, like..Castaway on Blu Ray or something. 
The alarm will go off, detecting the magnetised castaway disk, and you apologize to whoever, pay for castaway, and take all the attention from the old man with the shopping cart full of videogames and a robe to cover them.  
Meet the old man outside and throw him a hundred bucks for his co operation, and head over to your nearest EB games or Gamestop and trade in your games for store credit. They're scumbags too so they won't 
be suspicious of some stupid kids with a thousand dollars worth of sealed brand new videogames. And there you have it, buy as many PS3's as you can with your trade in money, and sell any PS3's you don't need on craiglist.

i have tried getting a job and no one will hire me.

better get a job, get better at crime or shut the hell up.

i got ps3 only for 280 used with 1 free game. buying used sometimes can be good deal.
