Geoff Keighley tweeted about SpikeTV's PS4 launch night event where there will apparently be new announcements. I guess we can use this thread as a chat if there's enough interest during the event.

Update: Keighley said the announcements will start on the 11th, including exclusive games.

It's probably been long enough that they could reveal Naughty Dog's next game without stepping on the toes of TLOU. They're a two game studio so I wouldn't be surprised if there was something coming out in holiday 2014, and based on past reveal dates the timing is about right.

Or, more likely ... some first part studio will have a new game coming for the PS4 and there will be a trailer for the Last of Us story DLC.

i think it could be more from The order 1886, or maybe sone new games (Santa Monica, or maybe Media Molecule)

in that comercial it said 24 exclusives so maybe we see 2/3 new game

It would be a pretty smart marketing move to announce some upcoming games just before launching the console. It might convince people to act on their pre-orders who are on the edge right now.

I'm hoping for The Last Guardian to finally be re-revealed, but there have been rumblings that this might include a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls (Demon's Souls 2) and that's really exciting too.

In any case this seems like a really smart thing to do right before launch, while there's still a chance to get more people into the new console launch hype.

That's the same day I go check out the PS4, but it will 10x worse and all I want to do is try out the controller.

Well he did say EPIC and Mark Rein is losing his mind over PS4 and did re tweet Geoffs announcement.

I'm hoping that they date Infamous because then I'll at least know my deadline for getting a ps4. Can't wait to see what they're going to show.

Ah, very cool. That seems to pretty much confirm it. Kind of hilarious how many people are asking for Gears 4 on PS4. That would be a disappointment.

I wonder what that says about the mindset of Epic right now about next gen, considering how little they had to do with the PS3 this generation.

@krakn3dfx: Ever since the PS4 reveal Epic have been supporting the PS4 with the Unreal 4 engine stuff and how it is a "Dream" to develop for. We will most likely see Epic be more multiplatform as well. Even though Gears of war has been over done Epic can make that franchise multiplatform since the partnership with MS has soured.

This seems really smart, to make the damn thing that much more desirable over the holiday. And then we got the VGA's with probably more stuff? Exciting times.

Sure, I'll watch. I might as well get excited for it. I'll probably record so that I can watch it while waiting for my package the next day. I always get my UPS and FedEx packages before 11am, but with my luck this one will come at like 8pm.

Oh shit, I forgot the VGA's have a lot of game announcements. If the next ND game gets announced, I will gawk like a school girl does over Justin Bieber.

Whatever will happen it will ease the financial pain of purchasing a full price console day 1 ;)

new games from 3party witch will be coming to both next-gen and PC in 2015 (it could be fallout 4, or a starwars game from EA other publishers won't show anything maybe Warner could show Mad Max )

Sony Santa Monica will show off their new game. They'll save Naughty Dog's game for the VGA since there will probably be more viewers then. Man I'm so excited, even if I'm not getting a PS4 day one. :/ 8 more days!

The reveals are supposed to start today according to keighley, but I don't know if he's just announcing things that will be shown during the event on the 14th (such as Last of Us DLC..not even a PS4 game you guys), or if these premiers will actually be peppered throughout the week. Hopefully some new games are announced soon. The closer you get, the harder it is to wait.

Call me crazy but I'm hoping for a new Jack or Syphon Filter. Another God of War would make me sad.

I think it was Kojima who said it would be an epic announcement? Maybe Zone of the Enders PS 4? Still waiting on the vita version of that HD collection.

on neogaf there was a rumor that demons souls 2 might be anounce i still don't know who is making that game (dark souls 2 is being made by from software) the think is that the director of the first two games (deamon and dark soul ) is working on a game but is still consulting for dark soul 2, i belive this is a spring 2015 game or something like that
