I wanted to know what the general size of the vita's expansion people are hopping on. I ordered the Wifi only Vita with 16 gigs of expansion, what about you guys? Also, if you ordered the 3g version, state it below, so far I have not read about one person pre-ordering the 3g variety and wanted to know exactly how rare such person is.

PlayStation Vita is Sony's second handheld gaming device.
What size vita memory card did you order, or are going to?
@Ace829: I'd be careful with knock-off memory cards. Never know what could happen, as Microsoft on the Xbox disabled unauthorized memory units and I imagine Sony won't like counterfeits.
Have to see if they find some detection proof options, but I wouldn't want to deal with the thought that a firmware update could disable it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just don't want to give in to such a rip-off. 4GB is pitiful when you consider how big the digital games will be, and the amount of digital PSP games people already bought. I don't even think 32GB will cut it after a few years. At least have a 64 or 100 GB option.
I already ordered the 32... didn't really feel like finding out a year from now 16 or so was too small
Here is a great list to give you a much better idea of PS Vita game sizes.
I'm seriously considering buying the pre release bundle. Definitely WiFI with the 32gb though regardless.
I am getting the WiFi with a 32 gig card. I plan on downloading most if not all of my games, so I plan to stay on top of having whatever is the biggest card available.

I'd got with the Wifi-only model, and then choose either the 16gb or the 32gb card.
I think 32 gig would be a bit of overkill for me, seeming that I will be gameflying the majority of the games I play, and won't be downloading them off PSN.
I have the 16GB one ordered for my Wi-fi model just because they don't sell 32GB ones in New Zealand. I would much prefer to just buy a 32GB one and be done with it since I'm already spending an obscene amount on memory anyway, but importing 32GB memory is way beyond my budget.
When they announced that the Feb 22 launch 3G Vita will come with a 8GB card and a free psn game voucher (not sure what that entails exactly) I decided to get that one. The 8GB card will hold me over for now since I plan to start off with downloadable PSP games I missed (Valkyria 2 mainly). Later on I'll see what memory cards become available and I'll get at least a 32GB one if the price comes down a bit.
I pre-ordered the First Edition bundle when that was announced, that comes with a 4gb but I will probably grab a 32gb if and when I see it. I never bought a PSP Go but I did grab a 16gb Memory Stick Pro duo when they started doing day and date launches. I much preferred buying digital since I can have all my games on me at once and I didn't have to worry about UMD battery drain (not really a problem with Vita). I foresee myself buying all my Vita games digitally so I might as well get the most memory I can.

i'll probably wait on buying a vita until the memory cards get discounted. No point in buying a vita if the largest memory card is 100$ just too pricey.
It is just the Sony way of doing things, the Vita itself is pretty cheap considering Tech Specs. I would prefer them putting the memory in the Device and charge more for it.. Like an iPad, anyway not a big deal for me.
The value propositions for both is still good to me considering my sizable PSP library and Minis.
Memory card prices made me lose interest in buying a Vita. I'll probably pick a Vita up on Craigslist or something in about six months or so for half of whatever the original buyer paid. I mean seriously, $100 for a 32gb card is three times what my 32gb SD cards cost me, I just can't do it.
Also, I don't think 16gb cards are enough. Looking at the sizes of some of the larger launch titles, and allowing for some formatting and system overhead, a 16gb card will only store four games, five tops.
I'll wait and let the early adopters pay a premium for this stuff. There just isn't anything that is so compelling about a Vita that I'm willing to fork out that much cash at launch for a new one.
Ive got the 8Gb ordered as thats what came with the Amazon.co.uk deal but I do plan on getting a bigger one down the line as soon as I see a good deal on one.
I'm going to get an 8 gig card and wait for the inevitable memory card price drop to get the 32 gig one.
