My custom PS1

#1 Posted by nicebento (4 posts) - 1 year, 5 months ago

Hey guys,

Just wanted to post up one my customs I did recently. I decided to customize one my old PS1's.

I was going for a military/Russin/horror look.

It is fully functional and works better then ever! Everything is taken apart cleaned then hand painted.

Let me know what you think!

That's pretty neat but I swear did you just plug in your controller to a memory card slot?!

Looks chalky and uncomfortable to hold. Did you go over it all with a clear coat to smooth it out?

No offense but it looks like shit.

"No offense" doesn't really work in this context--nice going.

It looks dirty and bloody, as intended. I like it just fine.

Looks like something I'd find in Silent Hill/STALKER, nice.

Except for the colors, I would agree.

I see where you were going with it. I think it's kinda cool. I wouldn't want it personally. But it definitely has that abandoned Science Lab kind of look to it.

To be fair, I've jammed my fair share of controllers into the memory card slot too. Pretty funny regardless.

Looks rad- I think I'd actually like the extra grip that textured paint would add.

This is pretty awesome. Have you done custom work on any other hardware?

Nice, not my kind of thing but I always enjoy seeing other people come up with some imaginative stuff.

Looks good!

@Ravenlight: Yes I have. I've done a lot of custom Gameboys for a few friends who are into chiptunes. but with those I also moded them to have a colored backlight.

how did you apply the paint? I would really like to do the same thing you did, with the addition of umbrella corp logo in the middle.

I am really surprised, but if anything, it looks like a Star Wars astrodroid to me. I think it looks excellent. Good job.

What are your plans to do with it?

Smashing. Now do mine!

I agree, that looks like shit. No, rather it looks like a bloody, dried up tampon. What were you thinking?
